Derrick Cameron and Melody
Cameron from Mabou, Cape Breton Island are the founders of the Celtic group,
Triskele. Performances by Melody and Derrick Cameron offer traditional
violin and step dance by Melody Cameron with celtic guitar accompaniment and
storytelling by Derrick Cameron. Triskele performances include Cape Breton
style fiddle and step dancing by Blair MacDonald, piano accompaniment by
Joel Chiasson and the singing of traditional Gaelic songs and puirt a beul by
Colin Watson. Triskele shows have occasionally featured performances
by singer/songwriter, Lisa Cameron or singer/guitarist Matthew MacLennan.
Melody and Derrick and Triskele have played many venues around Nova Scotia and

Melody Cameron is also a
well respected teacher of the Cape Breton style of step dancing. Melody
has given instruction in solo step dancing and does workshops in the Scot's Four
and the Inverness County Square Set. It is this experience in step
dance instruction that has given Melody Cameron the opportunity to work
